Option 1: SAN CARLOS
San Carlos is the port city which drains the Great Lake of Nicaragua, where Rio San Juan comes up and contribute the Cold River. This condition does not hide that it is a fishing village and faithful devotee of the Virgin of the lake.
The city, founded in 1527 as New Jaén, turned into San Carlos a year from 1666 when opened its fortress, which met the strategic goal of protecting the entrance to the Great Lake of any invasive action by the enemies of crown city of Granada, an important commercial and concentration Iberian colonial times in Nicaragua.
Our city tour will show us the details of the ship known as the Cachimbón that lies in the waters of the Great Lake after serving during the time of the Transit route. Option 2: SAN CARLOS – WETLANDS – SAN CARLOS
