Solentiname

Solentiname was considered a sacred place, and his fame and influencecovering an area that stretches from Mexico to Colombia, blending different cultures in different eras. Furthermore, by its geographical position, near the Rio San Juan and the wealth of natural resources in the fertile volcanic soilsaround Lake Nicaragua, the archipelago has long been a meeting place andcontrast, commercial and cultural crossroads between the diverse populationsliving in Central America. Solentiname was the center of worship of fire and water, among others, for over 1700 years! Ie, 200 A.C. the sixteenth century,when, in 1522, the Spanish arrived in Nicaragua.
