This unsurpassed natural experience leads us to overcome the capricious waters of the Great Lake of Nicaragua to reach the Wildlife Reserve Los Guatuzos. The shelter, which occupies a large swath of territory is invaded by amazing forests and wetlands, home and site hosting for a variety of wildlife, among which are rare species of birds. Given its importance and natural relevance, the refuge was declared a Ramsar site in 1997.
